As has always been the case, our overarching advice is to follow official guidance. The key sources of information are below.

You can find the government’s latest guidance here.

You can find guidance for those travelling or living overseas here.

Public Health England (PHE) has put together a helpful Q&A resource here.

09/04/2020 – Axel Scheffler has illustrated a digital book for primary school age children, free for anyone to read on screen or print out, about the coronavirus and the measures taken to control it. The book answers key questions in simple language appropriate for 5 to 9 year olds:
• What is the coronavirus?
• How do you catch the coronavirus?
• What happens if you catch the coronavirus?
• Why are people worried about catching the coronavirus?
• Is there a cure for the coronavirus?
• Why are some places we normally go to closed?
• What can I do to help?
• What’s going to happen next?

04/04/2020 – School is open over the Easter holiday period for children of key workers including Bank Holiday Friday and Monday. If you need to make contact with the school, please use following email address: bursar@haslingden-pri.lancs.sch.uk
01/04/2020 – Please regularly check the school’s Facebook and Twitter pages for information. If you require assistance with home learning, please email homelearning@haslingden-pri.lancs.sch.uk and one of our teachers will be able  to help you.
21/03/2020 – Plans are now in place for the care of the children of key workers who require it. Please remember that if you can keep your child at home and ‘socially distance’ them from people outside of your household, it is the safest thing to do. Advice can be found here on how to keep your family as safe as possible. The fewer children and members of staff in school as possible reduces the risk of any virus spreading through our community. We want to keep everyone as safe as possible.
Guidance on social distancing for everyone in the UK, including children, and protecting older people and vulnerable people.

18/03/2020 – In response to the Government’s latest guidance, it is with the deepest sadness that I announce that school will close for children at the end of day on Friday 20th March 2020 until further notice with the exception of the children of key workers and children with social workers and/or EHCPs.
